Day 28-sun sun sun

How beautiful is bangor looking today. Clear skies I’m sure it’ll be raining by tomorrow!

Breakfast– muesli/rice cereal

Lunch– an apple whilst overlooking the stunning bangor (I didn’t have time for a proper lunch, my fault for not making a packed one)

Dinner– vegetable stew

Day 27- stress induced take-away

So uni decided to open our tutor sign-ups at 6am. That meant that I got into bed at 230am last night, and woke up at 530, poised in front of the computer ready to get the tutor of my choice (first come first serve, so I wanted to be there with the web page ready to go at 6am). The webpage was up, I was half asleep but ready to quickly click my tutor then get back to bed.

three hours later…
I learnt to HATE this face.

The system finally let’s me sign up. THREE HOURS. Enter the dragon Molly. I was well peed off and ended up not going back to sleep. Let the sleep depravation continue.

Breakfast – SOUP! It got to about 7am and I was starving, but so fixated on refreshing this webpage that I didn’t want to ‘waste time’ juicing. I also made fake cheese on toast. It was a new brand of fake cheese by TESCO and it’s so sticky and gluey when melted it was horrible. Disappointment all round. Should’ve had juice

Lunch– I went to the cinema, so let’s count lunch as a huge cup of fanta. I honestly don’t even like fizzy drinks, but when at the cinema it’s got to be done. I watched the wolf of Wall Street and it was amazing! Such a good film I’d definitely recommend it.

Dinner– OK, I cracked. I had a Chinese. Vegetable fried rice (without egg) and tofu in black bean sauce. It. Was. Delicious. I’ve not had a Chinese take away for over a month can you believe it?!?! I should’ve really waited until after these 30 days were up but I couldn’t help myself πŸ˜€ mmmmm

Day 26- carbilicious

I think I’m still recovering from the sleep depravation of the weekend. I ended up going to bed at a ridiculous time last night and was up early for lectures. This meant that my food, as it has been dong since end of exams (and before) is going downhill.

Breakfast– juice (carrot apple and ginger)

Lunch- a very speedy half a carton of lentil soup and a piece of bread (I was almost late for lectures so this was a speedy mug affair)

Dinner- pasta with a whole jar of tomato and basil sauce (oops) -another speedy affair, as I got back from lectures, ate then went to the library

Snacks- an apple, whilst spending about 4 hours (until 2am) at the library using their photoshop to make a logo. They don’t have illustrator which makes my life much harder, and logo designing a looooot longer.

Day 25- Mini Kales!!!

Breakfast– apple and some muesli with rice milk

Lunch– I was in the labs today, over by Menai bridge in Anglesey. I ate my lunch looking over Menai strait which is something I haven’t done since before Christmas so that was nice. I had a fake cheese butty (horrible- never ever had a cheese butty, even a real cheese one, and I didn’t really like it. I wedged it with crisps to make it nicer :D). My friend Stef also made a curried couscous for her lunch which I nibbled on… That was gorgeous and I was very jealous!

Pre-dinner snack– I was planning to go stefs for dinner, so I ate this ‘super green soup’ packed full of goodies, as I was really hungry when I got in from labs and didn’t want to wait. PIG

Actual dinner– I didn’t end up going stefs but knocked up this fried brown rice with teriyaki, soy sauce, peas, courgette and a tofu sausage cut up into loads of slices. Yum!

Also, my housemate just bought these. Oh. My. Giddy. Aunt.

Flowering sprouts… Aka… A cross between sprouts and kale!!!!!!!!
❀ KALE ❀

I don’t have a clue how the whole plant breeding/gm/farming of plants goes, so somebody please nip my excitement in the bud if this is some kind of horrific production process, but for now… YAY mini kales…

Day 21,22,23 and 24- BOOZE O CLOCK

So… As I’ve been in a celebratory end of exams trance all weekend I have not got round to updating.. Apologies!

It mainly involved copious amounts of alcohol and quick, unhealthy food. Nevertheless, here’s what went down (and here’s what hungover, or drunk, vegans eat πŸ˜‰ )

Day 21- the day before exams

Breakfast– about half a pineapple, and a load of water
Lunch– cheesy pasta, in a hope it would spur me on to revise
Dinner– I wanted lasagna but the only pasta sheets they had in ASDA had egg in… So I concocted this layered hotpot (grilled courgette, tomato, pepper, onion and mixed grains, and cheese sauce) topped off with garlic-sautΓ©ed oyster mushrooms! I also ate a whole baguette
Snacks– ‘apple Cosmo’ from my graze box

Oh and here’s a picture that Callum drew of me:

Day 22- the last exam!
Breakfast– carrot and apple juice
Lunch-a big bowl of pasta with half a baguette… Lining my stomach for the drinking that was about to happen!

Didn’t have dinner, but I went and got my belly pierced πŸ˜€ yay! I love it… Woohoo… Then ended up drinking until 6am… STAMINA! (– the pasta must have worked!)

Day 23- my sisters 18th party
Breakfast– I was absolutely dying that day! Got about 4 hrs sleep and woke up and realised I’d missed my train home for the party. Β£25 for new tickets and 3 cartons of juice later… I arrived in Manchester… But no breakfast was had.

Lunch– happened at about 4pm, and was an innocent veg pot, the Mexican chilli one
Dinner-I snacked on pretzels, bread, humous, grapes, and anything vegan that I could find at my sisters party. Ended up drinking a whole bottle of amaretto then moving on to beers… Needless to say I didn’t exactly stick to my alcohol detox.

Day 24- recovery and beer/film/onesie to end the day
Cleaned my belly piercing today and somebody told me the best way to do it is hold hot saltwater in a mug over it for 15 mins. It leaves such a funny ring around my belly I still laugh every time at it!

Breakfast– jam on toast
Lunch– curry veg pot by innocent
Dinner– barburrito. Oh my god, YUM… The best take out ever for vegans… I got mixed veg (mushrooms and onions and peppers) with spicy beans and medium salsa, then I got guacamole and lettuce and jalapeΓ±os …. My god I so wish there was a barburrito in bangor!

On my way home at about 1130pm I stopped off at my friends house, had a beer and watched a film, then went to bed way too late considering 9am was the start of semester two at uni…

Oh and I also made a hotdog kinda thing with these tofu sausages and some BBQ sauce mmmmm:

No rest for the wicked.

Day 20- vegan beauty products

The day of beautifying myself. I’ve spent the last 5 hours with conditioner in my hair in an attempt to make it all glossy and lovely! I also currently have a face mask on AND have bought face scrub and face cleanser. All bought from superdrug, a huge chain of health and beauty stores which are against animal testing so almost all (if not all) their own brand products are vegan and all are BUAV approved! British girls… Get yourselves down to superdrug!

Breakfast– tomato and basil soup with brown bread

Lunch– carrot and coriander soup

Dinner-my housemates got a Chinese but I resisted (personal win)… Then ended up making this anyway ha! It’s fried rice with black bean sauce and any veg I could find

Snacks– hot chocolate with soya milk (EW I normally have rice milk but couldn’t find any so I bought soya… It was horrible! Ruined my nice relaxing face mask session haha!) and a soya cappuccino. That’s me and soya milk done for a while #overload

Confessions– I had a piece of chocolate from my housemate Leighanne (fellow vegan!)… Guiltyyyyy… I also went on a quick shopping trip whilst avoiding revision, I am looking for an outfit for my little sisters 18th on Saturday… NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR it’s between jeans or dress at the moment…

Day 19- three breakfasts and SIX pieces of bread

Third exam down… Only ONE to go! I think it’s fair to say my eating hasn’t been great and I’m starting to acknowledge that I chose the worst time of year (when busy with exams) to record everything I eat… Because it’s all quick fixes and I’ve made nothing exciting. But hopefully it’ll make me realise that I do eat too much and exercise too little. I’ve even started doing sit ups and squats every day in a hope to balance out my input/output!

Today I had:
Breakfast: carrot and apple juice, keeping it simple

Second breakfast- pineapple and mango

Third breakfast– toast with ‘pure’ dairy free spread

Lunch– two salad sandwiches to fill me up before my exam

Dinner– WHOOPS… I got take out tofu noodles on the way back from the pub… Whoopsssssss

Confessions– I had a few pints of beer at the pub. Hello beer belly.
